What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits, remember your preferences, and collect information about how you use the site.

In addition to cookies, we and our third-party partners may use related technologies such as web beacons, pixels, and local storage (including localStorage and sessionStorage) to achieve similar purposes. References to "cookies" in this policy include these related technologies unless otherwise specified.

This policy applies to the Fluensys website at fluensys.es and the Fluensys diagnostic tool hosted at diagnostic.fluensys.es. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more broadly.

Legal basis: The use of cookies on our website is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), the ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), and their implementation in Spanish law under the Ley 34/2002 de Servicios de la Sociedad de la Información (LSSI-CE). Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent. All other cookies are set only with your explicit prior consent via our cookie consent mechanism.

How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

Strictly Necessary

These cookies are essential for our website and diagnostic tool to function. They enable core features such as security, session integrity, and access to authenticated areas. They cannot be disabled without breaking the service. No consent is required for these cookies under applicable law.

Functional

These cookies allow the website to remember choices you have made — such as your progress through the diagnostic tool — and provide enhanced, personalised features. They do not track your activity across other websites.

Analytics

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website. The data collected is aggregated and anonymised. We use this information solely to improve website performance and content. These cookies are only set with your consent.

We do not use advertising or targeting cookies. We do not share cookie data with advertising networks or use cookies to build individual profiles for marketing purposes.

Cookie Inventory

The table below lists the cookies currently in use across fluensys.es and the diagnostic tool. This inventory is reviewed and updated when new cookies are introduced.

SqSpUserAgent Squarespace Detects the type of device being used in order to optimise page rendering. Essential Session
SS_CVR Squarespace Tracks page visits and referral sources to support Squarespace's built-in analytics. Data is aggregated. Analytics 1 year
SS_TKID Squarespace Supports visitor tracking across sessions for Squarespace analytics. Data is anonymised and aggregated. Analytics 1 year
fluensys_diagnostic_progress Fluensys (localStorage) Stores the student's progress state through the diagnostic tool locally on their device. This data does not leave the device unless the student submits their results. Functional Session / until cleared
Note on localStorage: The Fluensys diagnostic tool uses browser localStorage to temporarily store your progress through the assessment. This data is held only on your device and is not transmitted to any third party. It is cleared when you complete the assessment or clear your browser data. This is not a cookie in the traditional sense but is disclosed here in the interest of full transparency.

Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are set by third-party services that appear on or are embedded within our website. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which govern how they use data collected through their cookies. We do not control third-party cookies.

Stripe (Payment Processing)

When you access the payment link to purchase the Fluensys Proficiency Profile, you are directed to Stripe's hosted payment page. Stripe sets cookies on their domain to protect against fraud and to ensure payment session integrity. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy. Relevant cookies include __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid.

Cal.com (Appointment Booking)

The Roadmap Call booking link at cal.eu/fluensys/roadmap-call is hosted by Cal.com. When you visit the booking page, Cal.com may set session cookies to manage your booking flow. These are governed by Cal.com's Privacy Policy.

Google Fonts

Our website uses Google Fonts to deliver typefaces. Google Fonts loads font files from Google's servers. While Google Fonts does not set cookies, your browser does make a request to Google's servers which may log your IP address. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We use Google Fonts solely for typographic rendering and do not pass any personal data to Google.

No advertising networks: Fluensys does not embed advertising pixels, social media tracking scripts, or third-party remarketing tags on its website or diagnostic tool. We do not share cookie data with advertising platforms.

Cookies and the Diagnostic Tool

The Fluensys Skills Check and Proficiency Profile are delivered via a web application hosted separately from the main website. This tool is accessed at a dedicated URL and does not share a cookie domain with fluensys.es.

Within the diagnostic tool, we use browser localStorage to maintain your session state as you progress through the assessment sections. This ensures that if you navigate between sections, your previous responses are not lost. This data remains on your device until you either complete and submit the assessment or clear your browser storage.

On submission, your assessment data is transmitted securely to our database. From that point, data handling is governed by our Privacy Policy. The local storage entry is not retained beyond the active session.

The diagnostic tool does not set any analytics cookies. No third-party tracking scripts are loaded within the diagnostic environment.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit fluensys.es, a cookie consent banner will ask for your permission before any non-essential cookies are set. You can accept all cookies, accept essential cookies only, or customise your preferences by category. You can update your choices at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer of our website.

Browser Settings

You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will affect the functionality of our website. Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers are available at the links below:

Withdrawing Consent

You may withdraw consent for non-essential cookies at any time by updating your preferences through our cookie settings. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of any cookie use that occurred before you withdrew it. Strictly necessary cookies will continue to be set regardless of your consent choice, as they are required for the website to function.

Effect on the diagnostic tool: Cookie preferences set on fluensys.es do not extend to the diagnostic tool, which runs on a separate domain. The diagnostic tool does not set cookies requiring consent. If you clear your browser's localStorage, any in-progress diagnostic session will be lost and you will need to restart from the beginning.

Changes to This Policy

We review and update this Cookie Policy when new cookies are introduced, third-party services change, or applicable law requires it. When we make material changes, we will update the version number and effective date at the top of this document and, where appropriate, notify active users by email or via a notice on the website.

The cookie inventory in Section 3 is maintained as a live record. Minor additions or removals of individual cookies may be reflected in the inventory without incrementing the policy version, provided the overall categories and purposes do not change.

Previous versions of this policy are available on request.
